building
The modern residential quarter „Leben am Schlossberg“ in Altensteig is seamlessly integrated into the slope of Schlossberg and is located in close proximity to the Altensteig town center. The new building, constructed using solid materials and equipped with an elevator, offers 29 barrier-free residential units with two, three, or four rooms. On the first floor, four fully accessible units have been built. The units range from 40 to 100 square meters in size and each includes a balcony, terrace, or private seating area, a kitchen, and a Smart-Home system. The building is heated via gas-powered underfloor heating.
Additionally, there are 34 parking spaces available, some in the building’s garage with direct access to the apartments, and others in front of the building. The infrastructure for electric vehicles is already in place and can be expanded as needed. Each apartment comes with a separate basement storage unit, and the lower floor of the building includes communal laundry and drying rooms. The shared rooftop terrace is available to all residents and offers a stunning view of the small town. For the youngest residents, a beautiful green area with a playground is located outside the building.
A special feature offered, especially for seniors and residents with disabilities, is the all-inclusive service package. Three different packages are available, provided by the property management, the „Frogblue“ Smart-Home solution, and a well-known social services provider. These packages include additional services such as nursing care, housekeeping, or technical support. These options can be added monthly for a fee, as desired, through the property management.

Location
Altensteig is beautifully situated on the upper reaches of the Nagold River, nestled on the eastern flank of the Northern Black Forest Ridge, surrounded by a diverse natural landscape. The town offers an ideal combination of rural tranquility and excellent connectivity to larger cities: Baden-Baden is just 33 km away, while Stuttgart is approximately 49 km away.
Surrounded by charming municipalities, Altensteig borders Neuweiler to the north, Neubulach and Wildberg to the northeast, and Ebhausen to the east. To the southeast, Rohrdorf and Haiterbach are nearby, while Egenhausen, Pfalzgrafenweiler, and Wörnersberg form the southern boundary. Grömbach lies to the southwest, and Simmersfeld extends to the west of Altensteig.
This central location makes Altensteig an attractive starting point for nature experiences in the Black Forest, cultural excursions in the surrounding area, while also serving as a peaceful residential area with a high quality of life.
